Marine Centre Officially Opened!
Senator Penny Wong opens our Marine Centre
On Friday March 26th Senator Wong, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Water, officially opened our newly Refurbished Marine Discovery Centre at Star of the Sea School, Henley Beach. Archbishop Philip Wilson, Catholic Education SA's Director, Jane Swift, FRDC Executive Director, Patrick Hone, and many other notable guests were in attendance.
After 12.5 years, it was a very proud day for many people including 173 Volunteers, 43 Steering Committee Members, 26 Building Supporters, 71 Annual Sponsors, 129 "Fish" Sponsors and our whole school community. Many people were thanked including former Principal, Sr Enid Wood and current Principal, Mr Michael Honey, Ursula Quack, Office Manager, and Tim Hoile, Director.
The whole school event was spectacular with banners, dancing, singing, the blessing of the plaque and crucifixes.
