On behalf of the Mitcham Hills Combined Probus Club I would like to say what a wonderful visit our group had to the Marine Centre yesterday. We were all most interested in the interactive displays and information about our marine life and the need for us all to take care of our environment for the benefit of future generations.
I would like to say a very big thankyou to Carmen, Tegan and Karno for making our visit so interesting by sharing their knowledge of our marine life and the cultural significance of the Kaurna Aboriginal people of the area.
Thankyou all for the wonderful learning centre that you provide for people of all ages to learn and appreciate.
— Geraldine, Probus Group Organiser
The Marine Discovery Centre encompasses a multitude of interactive activities appropriate for a wide range of ages. In addition to a full time Marine Scientist and Cultural Educator, our volunteers are a wealth of knowledge and come from a wide variety of backgrounds including teaching, marine science, and environmental science just to name a few.
We want to make a difference in educating the young minds of today, so we have developed several interactive models that create a truly captivating, memorable and educational experience for all.
